I/O Modules

The strength of block I/O modules lies in their simple, distributed wiring. Thanks to Turck's multiprotocol standard, Turck's modules effectively reduce the number of device variants needing to be reserved: International machine and plant manufacturers use these modules in networks with PROFINET, Ethernet/IP or Modbus-TCP control, without modifying them. Their multilingual functionality not only reduces storage costs but also supports the digitization of your production: While the modules are communicating with the controller via PROFINET or Ethernet/IP, status data for preventive maintenance can be accessed via Modbus TCP.

Best Practice

I/O Modules Regulate Pneumatic Grippers in CAT Production

At specialist machinery manufacturer Kirschenhofer, ultra-compact TBEN-S modules transmit analog signals for controlling pneumatic grippers. Turck's RFID system reduces waste in the production cell for truck catalytic converters through secure tool change.

Block I/O Modules for Super Yacht

IP69K-block I/O modules TBEN ensure reliable Ethernet/IP communication between sensors/actuators and control on the super yacht Limitless. These fully cast modules prove their robustness in the face of salt spray and motor vibrations.

Signal Transmission to Production Robots

TBEN I/O modules ensure reliable signal transmission for short cycle times directly on the robot arms in final assembly. Their 150 millisecond ramp-up time cannot be beaten by any other module of this type.

Decentralized Control of Valve Circuits at Bio Reactor

IO-Link masters in IP69K communicate signals via Profinet between the reactor and two redundant controllers. This is made possible by its S2 system redundancy standard. Only the TBEN-L-8IOL offers the efficiency of distributed field wiring combined with maximum plant availability.
